Community Water System, PWA, located on beautiful Greers Ferry Lake, is a water treatment and distribution system that serves both retail and wholesale users in North Central Arkansas.   1. Treatment Operator, 3rd Shift (12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) Training provided on first shift prior to shift deployment.  Entry level wage: $15.60 to $18.50 plus benefits, subject to current certifications & experience, and to annual budgetary approval.

 

Partial Job Description:

 This position is responsible for control and operations of treatment machines and equipment to treat and clarify water for human consumption and other uses.  This position is considered safety sensitive and carries the expectation of upholding all quality, safety, and compliance policies and procedures, wearing and monitoring personal protective equipment as needed, and acting in a safe and professional manner.

Key Job Requirements:

Have or be able to obtain within a prescribed time, the minimum level of Distribution II and Treatment II Water Operations Certification through the State of Arkansas and maintain such.  Time management, self-motivation, communication, and organizational skills are a must.  Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire such quickly, Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.  Certifications, education and/or experience in electronics, PLC’s, Software, etc. are a plus.

Must have a valid and current Arkansas Driver’s License.

High School Diploma, or General Education Diploma.  Experience(s) to support the job responsibilities

  1. Project Manager, 1st Shift, hours to be set with input from candidate. The salary range for this position will vary dependent on qualifications and experience, but would be subject to a range estimated at $55,000.00 to $85,000.00 plus benefits, and to annual budgetary approval.

 

Partial Job Description:

 This position is a part of the Leadership Team and responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with the core values, strategy, and commitments of the Authority.  This position is considered safety sensitive and carries the expectation of upholding all quality, safety, and compliance policies and procedures, wearing and monitoring personal protective equipment as needed, and acting in a safe and professional manner.

Project Planning and Coordination, working to plan and implement projects to include budgets and personnel, scheduling and reporting, compliance, quality, easement acquisition, etc.

Operations Coordination: Asset management planning, IT oversite, CIP development, R&R Assessment and ERP development/input.

Operational Duties such as participating in budgets, project documentation, progress and performance reporting and compliance.

Key Job Requirements:

Have or be able to obtain within a prescribed time, and maintain, the level of Distribution IV and Treatment IV Water Operations Certification through the State of Arkansas.

Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, biology, chemistry or related field and/or Project Management Professional certification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAP) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
